50 osób spędził 2 miesiące na szydełkowaniu, aby utworzyć to trio z jeżowcami. Jeden obiekt ma rozmiar około 56 stóp (17 metrów) i waży około 220 funtów (100 kilogramów).
Ideą
dzieła jest oderwanie się od codzienności: "Ludzie widząc, jak
obiekty lśnią przy majestatycznych wieżowcach, zatrzymają się na chwilę. Ta pauza od rutyny nada okazję do znalezienia poezji wokół nas ".
Grupą
stojącą za instalacją są brytyjscy architekci Choi + Shine z siedzibą w
Londynie i Seulu, którzy stworzyli ten nieziemski projekt w ramach
festiwalu iLight Marina Bay w Singapurze w 2017 roku.

A team of 50 people has spent 2 months twisting the double-braided polyester chords to create this trio of urchins that interact with natural light during the day, and glow when illuminated at night.
A single urchin is about 56 feet (17 meters) in size and weighs about 220 pounds (100 kilograms).
The idea behind the art piece is to disrupt the mundane routine of daily life: “Seeing hovering and glowing lacy objects against majestic skyscrapers and dark water would make them pause and gaze. This momentary pause of the mundane routine of our life would hopefully give us an opportunity to find the poetry around us.”
The group behind the installation is the London and Seoul-based collective Choi+Shine Architects, who have created this otherworldly design for the Singapore’s 2017 iLight Marina Bay Festival.
